Calculators

The homestead savings estimator and the county tax estimator both run entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. Assessed values and county selections stay on your device.

The numbers you type are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and they are not stored. Close or reload the page and they are gone. They are not sent to Google Analytics either.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-L77LREPM86) to count page views and see which pages people actually read. When a page loads, the Google tag sends Google a record of the page viewed, the referring page, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

We use it only to see aggregate traffic. We do not use it to identify individuals, we have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features or remarketing, and the account's data-sharing setting for “Google products and services” is switched off, so this data is not shared with Google for advertising personalisation.

Cookies, and how to opt out

The Google tag sets two first-party cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_<id>, which distinguish one visitor from another for counting purposes. Those are the only cookies this site sets. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no login or session cookies, because there are no accounts.

You can opt out completely by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking googletagmanager.com in a content blocker, or by using your browser's Do Not Track or tracking-protection settings. Nothing on this site depends on analytics — every page, table and calculator works identically with the tag blocked.

Web fonts

The typefaces used here (Lora and Inter) are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch the font files. Google's handling of those requests is governed by its own privacy policy.

Server logs

This site is hosted on a third-party hosting platform. Like virtually all web hosts, that platform records standard technical request data — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, the referring page and the browser user-agent string — for security, abuse prevention and operational purposes. We do not use those logs to identify individuals. Handling of that data is governed by the hosting provider's own privacy policy.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
